Currently employed as a Legal Advisor to PUC, Ms Marguerite studied Sociology and Development Studies at the University of Manchester. Following this, she obtained her Bachelor of Law (LLB) in 2011, completing her Master’s degree in Law (LLM) in 2017 when she specialised in Mediation and Conflict Resolution. She then passed the local vocational Bar course with the University of Seychelles.
Prior to her employment with PUC, Ms Marguerite worked for 13 years at the Ministry of Social Affairs where she represented the department on the Treaty Affairs Committee. This work entailed the opportunity to compile, submit, present and defend reports on the implementation of various human rights instruments to which Seychelles is a party. She also represented Social Affairs before the Family Tribunal.
She is currently serving as a member of the Appeal Board of IECD and the Health Professional Council.
